A new work for trumpet and organ, commissioned by Kyle & Melissa, has been composed by Stanley Friedman. The piece is entitled Scatter the Darkness and is based on the folk hymn, The Family Bible.

The world premiere for the piece will be on March 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Germantown Presbyterian Church. It will be featured on a recital of works for trumpet and organ.

Kyle and Melissa will be performing a guest artist recital at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. The program will consist primarily of 20th century music by American composers.
